Contest - Bros Lineart Coloured by LazuliLupin Contest - Bros Lineart Coloured by LazuliLupin
So, the-b3ing is having a contest.
www.deviantart.com/journal/Col… )

All I had to do was colour this lineart cutely.
I think it turned out ok.
Definitely came out how I wanted it.

So I tried something new (again)

I block-coloured it, then did a thing where I shaded over it with a blurred shade. It made it look more realistic, while making the important shaded areas stand out. Also, combining this with brighter colours gave it an overall more innocent look.

I like it.
I'm gonna use this more often.

HEY LOOK THE BACKGROUND LOOKS OK :O

Oh, and I tried to stick as close as I could with the jacket colour, the rest is regular pokemon colourings (or as close as I could get).

As the-b3ing requested I let them be able to see how it is done, I LiveStreamed it all. Well, the shading anyway, the colouring in wasn't, but it's a little obvious how that was done.
Anyway, the videos are  available via my LiveStream channel; www.livestream.com/Lazzi

the-b3ing => if you want the video files and/or the .xcf file (made in GIMP) feel free to note me! :aww:

Thanks ^.^
Yeah, I'm usually not so great at clothing, maybe because I can't draw it rather than can't shade it XD

Oh, awesome! You livestreamed it too?! Ahaha, talk about super-helpful! Thanks a bunch! :D

And I'm glad you got to learn from this yourself, haha. Experimenting seems to be what a lot of people are doing with it, haha~ Which is what I'd do too. (Haha, except I didn't sadly, but hey that's what this contest is for!)
Thanks for entering~! :)

Yeah, I got to the shading and was like "well, why not, I feel like it!" Then re-read your journal for the rules and it all just worked out :D

And yeah, every time I make a new piece, I do it a little differently to see how it will come out. This time, I had the specification of cute to work with, so that helped too XD
